Novel gold nanoparticles coated with somatostatin as a potential delivery system for targeting somatostatin receptors
Ahmed A. H. Abdellatif,Gamal M. Zayed,Asmaa M. Elbakry,Alaa Zaky,Imran Saleem,Hesham M. Tawfeek +5 more
TL;DR: AuNPs could be attached to SST via adsorption to get stable AuNPs coated SST, which has a potential to target SST receptors localized in many normal and tumor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chitosan-Gelatin Hydrogel Crosslinked With Oxidized Sucrose for the Ocular Delivery of Timolol Maleate
TL;DR: The developed formulation of chitosan-gelatin hydrogel represents a promising platform for an effective and compliant treatment of ocular hypertension and is expected to reduce the frequency of drug application onto the eye surface and in turn enhances patients' convenience.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cyclodextrin based hydrogels: Inclusion complex formation and micellization of adamantane and cholesterol grafted polymers
TL;DR: In this article, a mixture of eight-armed poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) grafted with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), adamantane (8armPEG20k-ad), or cholesterol (8ARMPEG 20k-chol) was reported to have viscous behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogel Containing PEG-Coated Fluconazole Nanoparticles with Enhanced Solubility and Antifungal Activity
Ahmed A. H. Abdellatif,Ahmed A. H. Abdellatif,Dalia Farag A. El-Telbany,Gamal M. Zayed,Majid M Al-Sawahli +4 more
TL;DR: Small spherical FLC nanoparticles with enhanced in vitro drug release as well as improved antifungal activity could be achieved by using PEG-coated fluconazole nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro and in vivo characterization of domperidone-loaded fast dissolving buccal films.
Gamal M. Zayed,Saleh Abd El Rasoul,Saleh Abd El Rasoul,Mohamed Ibrahim,Mohamed Ibrahim,Mohammed S. Saddik,Doaa H. Alshora +6 more
TL;DR: The produced DMP buccal film formulation showed high absorption rate, rapid onset of action, and improved bioavailability compared with the conventional tablet, and may support the development of novel dosage forms for the transmucosal delivery of DMP for convenient, rapid, and effective treatment of nausea and vomiting.
