Optimizing Bi-directional Low-Latency Communication in Named Data Networking

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore NDN in the context of a class of applications that involve low-latency bidirectional communication and propose a few architectural amendments to NDN that provide significantly better throughput and lower latency for this kind of applications.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

FADEWICH: Fast Deauthentication Over the Wireless Channel

TL;DR: FADEWICH as discussed by the authors is the first automatic user deauthentication system that does not rely on biometric or behavior-based techniques (e.g., keystroke dynamics) and does not require users to carry any devices.

Hummingbird: Privacy at the time of Twitter.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess privacy in today's Twitter-like OSNs and describe an architecture and a trial implementation of a privacy-preserving service called Hummingbird, which is essentially a variant of Twitter that protects tweet contents, hashtags and follower interests from the (potentially) prying eyes of the centralized server.

PDoT: private DNS-over-TLS with TEE support

TL;DR: This paper provides an open-source proof-of-concept implementation of PDoT and uses it to experimentally demonstrate that its latency and throughput match that of the popular Unbound DNS-over-TLS resolver.
