Method and device for separating metal sheets

Abstract: Method and device for unstacking sheets placed one above the other and forming a stack, in which a magnetic field is generated by permanent magnets (4, 5) in a part adjacent to the edges of the upper sheet (2) of the stack of sheets (3), so as to generate field lines, in particular in the plane of the upper sheet of the stack of sheets, an electric current is circulated in the upper sheet (2) of the stack of sheets ( 3) substantially perpendicular to said field lines by means of at least two electrodes (13, 23) bearing at a distance from one another on the upper sheet (2), so as to cause the edge of the sheet to be raised top of the stack of sheets. After which the upper sheet is removed from the stack of sheets.
