Green composites: A review of adequate materials for automotive applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a bibliographic review in the broad field of green composites seeking-out for materials with a potential to be applied in the near future on automotive body panels is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

An Empirical Study on the Impact of Design Brief Information on the Creativity of Design Outcomes with consideration of Gender, and Gender Diversity

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on four types of stimuli (quantitative requirements, a visual example (video), a physical example, and contextual information) and measure creativity according to three metrics (novelty, appropriateness, and usability) with either participants' gender or the gender diversity of the participants' groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predicting the flexural performance of woven flax reinforced epoxy composites using design of experiments

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of noise factors (uncontrollable variables) and reduce process variations within the fabrication process was analyzed through the Design of Experiments (DoE) methodology and significant correlations found between suction point and mold filling time for the vacuum bagging process which significantly affected all flexural properties when on low and high levels respectively.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The impact of design briefs on creativity: a study on measuring student designers outcomes

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of different kinds of stimuli and relationships between ideas generation in product design creative outcomes was examined based on an interdisciplinary project aimed at ways to improve creativity among student designers.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Exploring the Use of a Full Factorial Design of Experiment to Study Design Briefs for Creative Ideation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated four types of information in design briefs: quantitative requirements, a visual example (video), a physical example and contextual information, and found that providing no additional information in the design brief results in high novelty scores and low appropriateness and usability scores.
