Preparation of Highly Functionalized Grignard Reagents by an Iodine–Magnesium Exchange Reaction and its Application in Solid‐Phase Synthesis

TL;DR: At -40°C aryl iodides that contain other functional groups can be selectively converted into Grignard reagents, which react with electrophiles such as benzaldehyde in the usual manner.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cu-Catalyzed Alkylation of Grignard Reagents: A New Efficient Procedure

TL;DR: In this article, secondary and tertiary alkylmagnesium chlorides were used successfully for the first time in such a reaction and ester, amide, nitrile or keto groups are tolerated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cobalt-catalyzed alkenylation of organomagnesium reagents

TL;DR: Alkenyl iodides, bromides and chlorides react with organomagnesium reagents in THF, in the presence of Co(acac)2 and NMP (9 to 4 equiv.), to give the cross-coupling products in good yields as mentioned in this paper.
