THE SUPPORT IS GUIDED ALONG THE STORED LACQUER UNDER A TENSILE STRESS AND THE SUPPORT WITH THE ADHERING LAYER OF LACQUER IS THEN GUIDED ALONG A SMOOTHING SIDE IN SUCH MANNER THAT THE PARTS OF THE SUPPORT IN FRONT OF AND BEHIND THE SMOOTHING SIDE FORM AN ANGLE SO THAT THE LAYER IS EQUALIZED. THE PRESSURE IN THE PRESSURE CHAMBER CAN BE CONTROLLED BY CONTROLLING THE ANGLE, THE TENSILE STRESS AND THE QUANTITY OF LACQUER SUPPLIED PER UNIT OF TIME SO THAT THE THICKNESS OF THE LAYER IS ALSO CONTROLLED.
