Transparent Glass-Ceramics Produced by Sol-Gel: A Suitable Alternative for Photonic Materials.

TL;DR: Interesting optical properties demonstrated the incorporation of dopant ions in the fluoride crystals, thus obtaining crystal-like spectra along with higher efficiencies with respect to xerogels, and hence demonstrating that these materials are a suitable alternative for photonic applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tailoring the Electronic Structures of the La2NiMnO6 Double Perovskite as Efficient Bifunctional Oxygen Electrocatalysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic study on the tuning of the electronic structure of double perovskite oxides for efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective excitation in transparent oxyfluoride glass-ceramics doped with Nd3+

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that Nd3+ ions in the glass-ceramics are incorporated in both crystalline and amorphous phases, and that the presence of the dopant affects the kinetics due to the progressive increase of Tg on increasing the Nd 3+ content.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of the heat treatment on the spectroscopic properties of Er3+-Yb3+-doped transparent oxyfluoride nano-glass-ceramics

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed structural characterization performed by X-ray diffraction and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) confirms the precipitation of LaF3 nano-crystals with a size in the 10-15nm range.
