A Robust Time-Domain Beam Alignment Scheme for Multi-User Wideband mmWave Systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a time-domain BA scheme for wideband mmWave systems, where the channel is characterized by multi-path components, different delays, Angle-of-Arrivals/Angle-ofDepartures (AoAs/AoDs), and Doppler shifts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Randomized Channel Sparsifying Hybrid Precoding for FDD Massive MIMO Systems

TL;DR: A novel randomized channel sparsifying hybrid precoding (RCSHP) design is proposed to reduce the signaling overhead of channel estimation and the hardware cost and power consumption at the base station, in order to fully harvest benefits of frequency division duplex (FDD) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems.
Proceedings Article

Coded Caching in a Cell-Free SIMO Network

TL;DR: This paper focuses on a variant of the Maddah-Ali and Niesen scheme successively proposed for the so-called combination network, where the multicast message is further encoded by an MDS code and the MDS-coded blocks are simultaneously transmitted from different nodes.

Quality-Aware Deep Reinforcement Learning for Streaming in Infrastructure-Assisted Connected Vehicles.

TL;DR: In this article, a deep reinforcement learning-based video streaming scheme for mobility-aware vehicular networks is proposed, where the DRL agent learns a streaming policy that pursues high average quality while limiting packet drops, avoiding playback stalls, reducing quality fluctuations and saving backhaul usage.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Cellular Traffic Offloading with Optimized Compound Single-point Unicast and Cache-based Multipoint Multicast

TL;DR: Simulation results show that the compound scheme outperforms other caching schemes in terms of the total outage probability, and the optimal solution is obtained by finding optimal cache placement, bandwidth allocation, and file classification.
