Mid-infrared laser heterodyne radiometer (LHR) based on a 3.53 μm room-temperature interband cascade laser.

TL;DR: The performance of an interband cascade laser based laser heterodyne radiometer (LHR) is demonstrated in ground-based solar occultation mode and an optimal estimation method based retrieval algorithm is developed for data retrieval and error analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancing off-axis integrated cavity output spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) with radio frequency white noise for gas sensing

TL;DR: A threefold improvement in the detection limit was achieved and the response time of the improved OA-ICOS system is about 30 s and the minimum detectable concentration of CH4 is 7.6 ppbv, which corresponds to a minimum detectable fractional absorption scaled to the path length.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-sensitivity off-axis integrated cavity output spectroscopy implementing wavelength modulation and white noise perturbation.

TL;DR: A new method is proposed to further improve the detection sensitivity of the gas sensor based on off-axis integrated cavity spectroscopy (OA-ICOS) using a distributed feedback laser operating in the near-infrared at 1653 nm that relies on implementation of wavelength modulation and radio frequency white noise perturbation to diode laser current.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fully Integrated Photoacoustic NO2 Sensor for Sub-ppb Level Measurement.

TL;DR: The low-cost and portable photoacoustic NO2 sensor has a potential application for atmospheric NO2 monitoring and the results agree with that obtained from the NO–NO2–NOX gas analyzer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoacoustic Measurement of Ethane with Near-Infrared DFB Diode Laser

TL;DR: In this paper, a near-infrared distributedfeedback (DFB) diode laser was used for detection of ethane (C2H6) using a compact resonant photoacoustic sensor.
