TL;DR: The distribution of lung cancer near the smelters was not significantly different from the distribution of control cancers in any of the areas studied, and the relationship between distance of residence from nonferroussmelters and lung cancer was studied.

Cancer clustering around point sources of pollution: Assessment by a case-control methodology
