Bandwidth Enhancement of a Microstrip-Line-Fed Printed Wide-Slot Antenna With a Fractal-Shaped Slot

TL;DR: In this paper, a microstrip-line-fed printed wide-slot antenna with a fractal-shaped slot for bandwidth enhancement is proposed and experimentally studied, and it is experimentally found that the operating bandwidth can be significantly enhanced, and the relation between the bandwidth and the iteration order (IO) and iteration factor (IF) of the fractal shapes is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Small-Size Microstrip Patch Antennas Combining Koch and Sierpinski Fractal-Shapes

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a novel technique to reduce the size of microstrip patch antennas by etching the patch edges according to Koch curves as inductive loading and inserting the Sierpinski carpets into the patch as slot loading.
Journal ArticleDOI

Miniaturization of wideband branch‐line couplers using fractal‐shaped geometry

TL;DR: In this paper, a fractal-shaped geometry was used to miniaturize the cascaded wideband branch-line couplers using fractal shape geometry, which achieved 50.4% and 72.7% size reduction with no major effect to overall performances.
