Journal ArticleDOI

Design of an electromagnetic imaging system for weapon detection based on GMR sensor arrays

TL;DR: The design of a detection system for the identification of conductive objects based on their response to EM fields and how to construct a two-dimensional image from the measured signals to be used for image processing purposes are addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electromagnetic Thermography Nondestructive Evaluation: Physics-based Modeling and Pattern Mining

TL;DR: This study generates physics-mathematical modeling and mining route in the spatial-, time-, frequency-, and sparse-pattern domains and renders the EMT a promising candidate for the highly efficient and yet flexible NDT&E.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variational mode decomposition linked wavelet method for EMAT denoise with large lift-off effect

TL;DR: A modified variational mode decomposition (VMD) linked wavelet method for EMAT denoising enables to suppress both high-frequency narrowband noise and normal noise in EMAT signals with a large lift-off detection condition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Feature-Based Registration for 3D Eddy Current Pulsed Thermography

TL;DR: A 3D eddy current pulsed thermography system by integration the ECPT system with an RGB-D (3D point cloud with RGB texture information) camera, which provides quantified data, including 3D heat distribution and the 3D spatial relationship between defect position, the excitation coil, and the whole specimen shows its potential of quantitative evaluation of the defect characteristics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Features extraction of sensor array based PMFL technology for detection of rail cracks

TL;DR: In this paper, a full set of PMFL system based on sensor array is used to detect the standard specimens, in order to eliminate the noise and extract the feature, the detecting signal is analyzed and processed by some pre-treatments.
