Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-obesity and hypolipidemic effects of Fuzhuan brick tea water extract in high-fat diet-induced obese rats
Qin Li,Zhonghua Liu,Zhonghua Liu,Jianan Huang,Guoan Luo,Qionglin Liang,Die Wang,Xiaoyan Ye,Chaobi Wu,Li-li Wang,Jiehui Hu +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that FTEs have anti-obesity and hypolipidemic functions, suggesting that it might be effective for treatment of obesity and hyperlipemia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomic analysis of the inhibitory effect of epigallocatechin gallate on lipid accumulation in human HepG2 cells
Zhonghua Liu,Zhonghua Liu,Qin Li,Jianan Huang,Qionglin Liang,Yujun Yan,Haiyan Lin,Wenjun Xiao,Yong Lin,Sheng Zhang,Bin Tan,Guoan Luo +11 more
TL;DR: The proteomic analysis hypothesized that EGCG reduced cellular lipid accumulation in FFA-induced HepG2 cells through the activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) resulting from the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibiting effects of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) on the formation of age pigment in vitro and in vivo
Shuxian Cai,Jianan Huang,Li-li Wang,Xin-rong Dong,Yushun Gong,Juan Li,Qing Li,Zhong-hua Liu,Guoan Luo +8 more
TL;DR: Results showed that EGCG could inhibit the formation of age pigment in vitro and in vivo, and the structure-activity relationship suggested that besides anti-oxidative stress and trapping the reactive unsaturated aldehydes, the inhibiting effects were correlated with the galloyl D-ring of tea catechins on neutralizing the amino-carbonyl cross-linking reaction.
