Journal ArticleDOI
The Society for Vascular Surgery practice guidelines on the care of patients with an abdominal aortic aneurysm
Elliot L. Chaikof,Ronald L. Dalman,Mark K. Eskandari,Benjamin M. Jackson,W. Anthony Lee,M. Ashraf Mansour,Tara M. Mastracci,Matthew W. Mell,M. Hassan Murad,Louis L. Nguyen,Gustavo S. Oderich,Madhukar S. Patel,Marc L. Schermerhorn,Benjamin W. Starnes +13 more
TL;DR: A door‐to‐intervention time of <90 minutes is suggested, based on a framework of 30‐30‐30 minutes, for the management of the patient with a ruptured aneurysm, and the Vascular Quality Initiative mortality risk score is suggested for mutual decision‐making with patients considering aneurYSm repair.
Journal ArticleDOI
Infected aortic aneurysms: aggressive presentation, complicated early outcome, but durable results.
Gustavo S. Oderich,Jean M. Panneton,Jean M. Panneton,Thomas C. Bower,Thomas C. Bower,Kenneth J. Cherry,Kenneth J. Cherry,Charles M. Rowland,Charles M. Rowland,Audra A. Noel,Audra A. Noel,John W. Hallett,John W. Hallett,Peter Gloviczki,Peter Gloviczki +14 more
TL;DR: Late outcome of infected aortic aneurysms has an aggressive presentation and a complicated early outcome, however, late outcome is surprisingly favorable, with no aneurym-related deaths and a low graft-related complication rate, similar to standard aneurYSm repair.
Journal ArticleDOI
The spectrum, management and clinical outcome of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type IV: a 30-year experience.
Gustavo S. Oderich,Jean M. Panneton,Thomas C. Bower,Noralane M. Lindor,Kenneth J. Cherry,Audra A. Noel,Manju Kalra,Timothy M. Sullivan,Peter Gloviczki +8 more
TL;DR: Operative mortality in patients with vascular complications of EDS-IV was not excessively high, but the incidence of postoperative bleeding complications and late graft-related problems was significant and survival was shortened because of secondary vascular or graft- related complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vascular abnormalities in patients with neurofibromatosis syndrome type I: clinical spectrum, management, and results.
Gustavo S. Oderich,Timothy M. Sullivan,Thomas C. Bower,Peter Gloviczki,Dylan V. Miller,Dudica Babovic-Vuksanovic,Thanila A. Macedo,Anthony W. Stanson +7 more
TL;DR: Patients with NF-I have a wide spectrum of vascular abnormalities, most notably aneurysms or stenoses of the aortic, renal, and mesenteric circulation, and Operative treatment of symptomatic patients with vascular lesions or large aneurYSms is safe, effective, and durable.
Journal ArticleDOI
