Microstructures and mechanical properties of Mn modified, Ti-Nb-based alloys

TL;DR: In this article, transmission electron microscopy studies revealed that orthorhombic α″ and body-centered cubic β phases present in the Ti-16Nb alloy were modified by the addition of Mn to form a single β phase structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of step-quenching on the α ″ martensitic transformation, α precipitation, and mechanical properties of multiphase Ti–10Mo alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of step-quenching on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a binary Ti-10Mo (wt%) alloy were investigated by transmission electron microscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of cooling path after rolling on sulfide stress cracking behavior for casing steel

TL;DR: In this paper, a model of local hydrogen concentration is proposed to illustrate SSC susceptibility, and multiple characterizations combined with hydrogen permeation tests are performed to reveal the mechanism of SSC behavior with respect to hydrogen interactions with metallurgical defects.
