Microstructural and Mechanical Characterization of Spark-Plasma-Sintered Compact of Al-4.5 wt.% Cu Alloy Powder

TL;DR: In this paper, the size of the powder in the range of 10 to 500 µm produced by spray atomization process was analyzed using laser particle analyzer and the density of the compact was determined using water displacement method, and the average density was 2.65 g/cc.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conventional sintering of copper powder with and without addition of different weight percentage of aluminium powder

TL;DR: In this article , the surface topography of the sintered compacts were analyzed using optical metallurgical microscope for the magnifications of 100x and the compression strength of the compacts of pure copper, copper with 5, 10 and 15 wt.% Al were determined using universal testing machine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Macroalloying Element Addition of Aluminum on Pure Copper

TL;DR: The influence of aluminum on copper (aluminum bronze) produced by die-casting process is reported in this article, which reveals equiaxed grains, dendritic structure and martensite structure, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical and Tribological Properties Correlations of Die Cast and Spray Formed Aluminum 2.5wt.% Cu-2.5wt.% Mg - 5wt.% Zn Alloy

TL;DR: In this paper , the compression strength, hardness and tribological properties of the aluminum alloy produced by die cast and spray formed technique were studied as per the ASTM test standards and recorded the average values.
