Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic storm effects in the neutral composition

TL;DR: In this article, a magnetic storm was used as an effective mechanism for removing atomic oxygen at high latitudes in the atmosphere during magnetic storms. But the mechanism was not suitable for high-latitudes.
Journal ArticleDOI

A theory of thermospheric dynamics. II.

TL;DR: Geomagnetic activity, 27 day variation, and semiannual variation of thermosphere affected by solar activity are reported in this paper, showing that solar activity can affect the behavior of the entire world.
Journal ArticleDOI

A theory of thermospheric dynamics—I: Diurnal and solar cycle variations

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the diurnal density and temperature variation within the thermosphere is generated not only by solar EUV heat input but also by a tidal wave from the lower atmosphere which penetrates into the lower upper atmosphere and predominates the daily diurnal variations below 250 km altitude.
