Book ChapterDOI

A relation between crack tip plastic blunting and the j-integral

TL;DR: In this paper, the relation between SZW and J/σflow showed an apparent dependence on flow stress, σflow, and no influence of test temperature was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of mechanical properties of material on rate of fatigue crack propagation

TL;DR: In this article, the rate of fatigue crack propagation is analyzed based on the observed results of the fatigue crack behavior previously by the authors, and the analytical result is compared with the experimental one to make sure that they agree with each other.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Effects of the Shapes and the Distributions of Inclusions on the Fatigue Strength of Bearing Steels in Rotary Bending

TL;DR: In this article, the relationship between the fatigue strength of bearing steels and the shape and the distribution of inclusions was investigated, and it was shown that the fatigue life of bearing steel was affected by the mean diameter, the shape of the inclusions and the distance from the surface of specimens to the inclusion.
