A simple rain collector preventing water re-evaporation dedicated for δ18O and δ2H analysis of cumulative precipitation samples

TL;DR: In this article, a simple rainwater collector has been developed that allows virtually evaporation-free rain sampling for subsequent water stable isotope analysis, which is designed for collecting composite monthly samples as required for global monitoring networks of the isotopic composition in precipitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unimolecular decomposition of sputtered Aln +, Cun +, and Sin + clusters.

TL;DR: In this article, the metastable decomposition of sputtered, mass-selected, cluster ions was investigated under ultrahigh-vacuum conditions, and the decay rates of cluster ion mass spectra were shown to be in agreement with calculations presented by Klots.
Journal ArticleDOI

Giant resonances in silver-cluster photofragmentation

TL;DR: The collinear ion-beam depletion technique was used to measure absolute photofragmentation cross sections of small silver-cluster ions in the range from 2.3 to 5.7 eV as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The pulsed arc cluster ion source (PACIS)

TL;DR: PACIS as mentioned in this paper is a new cluster source, where a pulsed high-current arc is fired between two electrically isolated electrodes, and the integral intensity is estimated by film thickness measurements and yields a deposition rate of up to 2 A per shot for lead.
