A high-temperature radar absorbing structure: Design, fabrication, and characterization

TL;DR: In this article, a new sandwich structure called the SiC f /SiC sandwich radar absorbing structure (SRAS) for high-temperature radar absorption was designed using SiC fiber fabrics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric properties of SiC fiber-reinforced SiC matrix composites in the temperature range from 25 to 700 °C at frequencies between 8.2 and 18 GHz

TL;DR: In this paper, the complex permittivity of a SiC fiber-reinforced SiC matrix (SiCf/SiC) composite was measured in a temperature range of 25-700°C at frequencies from 82 to 18 GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design, preparation and microwave absorbing properties of resin matrix composites reinforced by SiC fibers with different electrical properties

TL;DR: In this article, a microwave absorbing structure (SSMAS) derived from Salisbury absorbers is reported and the impedance characteristics of SSMASs are analyzed, and the mechanisms of broadening microwave absorbing bandwidth are interpreted by Smith chart.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of SiC contents on the dielectric properties of SiO2f/SiO2 composites fabricated through a sol-gel process

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the SiC contents on the dielectric properties of the composites are investigated, and the real and imaginary parts of the complex permittivity (e′ and e″) increase first before they decrease with an increasing SiC content from 0 to 40.
