Journal ArticleDOI

Reduction of stratospheric ozone by nitrogen oxide catalysts from supersonic transport exhaust.

TL;DR: The projected increase in stratospheric oxides of nitrogen could reduce the ozone shield by about a factor of 2, thus permitting the harsh radiation below 300 nanometers to permeate the lower atmosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tunnelling corrections for unsymmetrical eckart potential energy barriers

TL;DR: Tunnelling corrections were evaluated for the unsymmetrical Eckart potential for ranges of parameters expected for ordinary chemical reactions at ordinary temperatures as mentioned in this paper, and the results showed that the potential is bounded by a constant factor.
Journal ArticleDOI

The photochemistry of the nitrate radical and the kinetics of the nitrogen pentoxide-ozone system

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the kinetics of the nitrogen pentoxide catalyzed decomposition of ozone in the dark and with photolytic light absorbed by the NO/sub 3/ radical.
