Determination of Magnetization Distribution in Thin Films Using Electron Microscopy
TL;DR: In this paper, the intensity distribution images of the magnetization distribution in thin ferromagnetic films were derived from the Lorentz force acting on an electron passing through the film, and the intensity distributions for some simple domain walls were computed and compared in various ways with experimental observations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic Domain Observations by Electron Microscopy
Journal ArticleDOI
Domains in Thin Magnetic Films Observed by Electron Microscopy
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used an off-centered objective aperture diaphragm as a knife edge to observe full domains in thin magnetic films by electron microscopy, which allowed the use of full objective power without influencing the magnetization distribution of low coercive force films.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetostatic Interactions between Thin Magnetic Films
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discussed magnetostatic interactions between two thin films that are separated by a small distance between parallel film planes and determined the equilibrium position of the movable wall as a function of an externally applied field, and the conditions under which the wall field of one film together with an external field can cause nucleation of a domain in the second film.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observations Made on Domain Walls in Thin Films
TL;DR: In this paper, a model based on magnetization buckling was proposed for the magnetization distribution in thin films of permalloy alloys, and powder patterns were observed on an iron film at intermediate stages of slow switching of the film.
