Effect of cerium and lanthanum additives on plasma electrolytic oxidation of AZ31 magnesium alloy
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of cerium (Ce) nitrate and lanthanum (La)-nitrate additives on the voltage response, microstructure, compositions and corrosion resistance of PEO coatings were investigated by scan-ning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectrum (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and potentiodynamic polarization tests, etc.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of ultrasonic on microstructure and growth characteristics of micro-arc oxidation ceramic coatings on 6061 aluminum alloy
Shen Dejiu,Cai Jingrui,Li Guolong,He Donglei,Wu Lailei,Ma Haojie,Xia Yonghong,Chen He,Yang Yaqian +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of ultrasonic vibration on microstructure and growth characteristics of micro-arc oxidation (MAO) coatings were investigated, and the results showed that the ultrasonic action obviously promoted the formation of α-Al 2 O 3 phase, reduced the number of large discharge pores and promoted the increase of the thickness, uniformity and hardness of the coatings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of high temperature oxidation prefab film on formation of micro-arc oxidation coatings on 6061aluminum alloy
Shen Dejiu,Zou Jie,Wu Lailei,Liu Fangfei,Li Guolong,Cai Jingrui,He Donglei,Ma Haojie,Jiang Gui-rong +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the high temperature oxidation prefab film on the initial stage of growth process of the MAO ceramic coatings was studied, and the results showed that the prefab-film decreased the arc starting voltage and the arc start time of the micro-arc oxidation, and promoted the evolution processes of micro-discharge and the surface morphology of the coating.
