The effects of oral glutamine on cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats
Luciana de Oliveira Mora,Luciana de Oliveira Mora,Lusânia Maria Greggi Antunes,Heloísa Della Coletta Francescato,Maria de Lourdes Pires Bianchi +4 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that glutamine partially protect against cisplatin-induced lipid peroxidation damage, but it was not enough to inhibit cisplarin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resveratrol attenuates cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in rats
Cátia Lira do Amaral,Heloísa Della Coletta Francescato,Terezila Machado Coimbra,Roberto Silva Costa,Joana D'Arc Castania Darin,Lusânia Maria Greggi Antunes,Maria de Lourdes Pires Bianchi +6 more
TL;DR: Resveratrol attenuated the cisplatin-induced structural and functional renal changes by reducing free radicals and inhibiting inflammatory cell infiltrates and increased lipid peroxidation and glutathione depletion in tissue were attenuated by resver atrol.
Journal Article
Comparative study of multiple dosage of quercetin against cisplatin- induced nephrotoxicity and oxidative stress in rat kidneys
E. B. Behling,Milena C. Sendão,Heloísa Della Coletta Francescato,Lusânia Maria Greggi Antunes,Roberto Silva Costa,Maria de Lourdes Pires Bianchi +5 more
TL;DR: The role of oxidative stress is demonstrated and a protective effect of quercetin is suggested on cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity and lipid peroxidation in adult Wistar rats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of JNK inhibition on cisplatin-induced renal damage
Heloísa Della Coletta Francescato,Roberto Silva Costa,Fernando Barbosa Júnior,Terezila Machado Coimbra +3 more
TL;DR: The protective effect of SP600125 on cisplatin-induced renal damage seems to be related to the reduction in the apoptotic cell death and to the restriction of renal inflammation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parthenolide reduces cisplatin-induced renal damage
Heloísa Della Coletta Francescato,Roberto Silva Costa,Cristoforo Scavone,Terezila Machado Coimbra +3 more
TL;DR: Cisplatin-treated rats presented higher plasma creatinine, as well as greater immunostaining for ED1 (macrophages/monocytes) and NF-kappaB in the renal cortices and outer medullae, which seems to be related, at least in part, to the restriction of renal inflammatory process observed in parthenolide+cisPlatin treated rats.
