Chemical composition of Piper stylosum Miq. and Piper ribesioides Wall. essential oils, and their antioxidant, antimicrobial and tyrosinase inhibition activities

TL;DR: In this article, a GC and GC-MS of the aceites esenciaales de hojas and tallos of P. ribesioides were used to determine the actividades antioxidante and antimicrobiana.
Journal ArticleDOI

Malaysianol B, an oligostilbenoid derivative from Dryobalanops lanceolata.

TL;DR: A new oligostilbenoid tetramer was isolated from the acetone extract of the stem bark of Dryobalanops lanceolata along with seven oligostILbenoids tetramers along with the antibacterial activity of the isolated compounds was evaluated using resazurin microtitre-plate assay.
Journal ArticleDOI

Beilschglabrines A and B: Two new bioactive phenanthrene alkaloids from the stem bark of Beilschmiedia glabra

TL;DR: Two new phenanthrene alkaloids were isolated from the stem bark of Beilschmiedia glabra, together with lupeol, taraxerol, and 24-methylenelanosta-7,9-diene-3β-15α-diol, and the structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic data analysis and comparison with respective literature data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification and biological activity of secondary metabolites from Dryobalanops beccarii

TL;DR: In this article, a new trimeric oligostilbene, malaysianol D and galloylglucoside, malaysin A, together with twelve known compounds (3, 14) have been isolated from the methanol extract of the stem bark of Dryobalanops beccarii by combination of vacuum and radial chromatography techniques.
