TL;DR: In this article, a case study of three frontrunner companies in the telecommunications industry was conducted to evaluate the contribution of the Global Compact (GC) to CSR strategies, and the results showed that the GC is only one of the many initiatives that these companies employ in shaping, implementing, and reporting about their CSR activities, and that its role is at most modest.
