Association Between Helicobacter pylori Colonization and Inflammatory Bowel Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Hesamaddin Shirzad-Aski,Sima Besharat,Sabine Kienesberger,Ahmad Sohrabi,Gholamreza Roshandel,Taghi Amiriani,Alireza Norouzi,Aabbas Ali Keshtkar +7 more
TL;DR: All statistical data support the theory that H. pylori has a protective role in IBD, however, more primary studies using proper methodology are needed to confirm this association.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobials and Food-Related Stresses as Selective Factors for Antibiotic Resistance along the Farm to Fork Continuum.
TL;DR: In this paper, a review addresses the use of non-antibiotic stressors, such as antimicrobials, food-processing treatments, or even novel approaches to ensure food safety, as potential drivers for resistance to clinically relevant antibiotics.
Journal ArticleDOI
A systematic review and meta-analysis for association of Helicobacter pylori colonization and celiac disease.
Fazel Isapanah Amlashi,Zahra Norouzi,Ahmad Sohrabi,Hesamaddin Shirzad-Aski,Alireza Norouzi,Ali Ashkbari,Naghme Gilani,Seyed Alireza Fatemi,Sima Besharat +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to explore all related primary studies to find any possible association between Celiac disease (CeD) and human H. pylori colonization.

A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis for Association of Helicobacter pylori Colonization and Celiac Disease
Fazel Isapanah Amlashi,Zahra Norouzi,Ahmad Sohrabi,Ahmad Sohrabi,Hesamaddin Shirzad-Aski,Alireza Norouzi,Ali Ashkbari,Naghme Gilani,Seyed Alireza Fatemi,Sima Besharat +9 more
TL;DR: According to the meta-analysis, H. pylori has a mild protective role toward CD, and this negative association is not strong, but it is statistically significant and should be further considered.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computational and experimental studies of sulfasalazine’s adsorption using hydroxyl functionalized C60 fullerene
Mohammad Javed Ansari,Karla Renata de Oliveira,Alireza Soltani,Mohammad Ramezanitaghartapeh,Preeti Singla,Mehrdad Aghaei,H. Khandan Fadafan,Sahar Ardalan Khales,Mohammad Shariati,Hesamaddin Shirzad-Aski,Hanzaleh Balakheyli,Syed Sarim Imam,Ameeduzzafar Zafar +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a well-known antibacterial drug, sulfasalazine (SSZ), has been loaded on to the surface of a zero-dimensional carbon nanomaterial, referred to as fullerenol, and the success of functionalization and drug loading has been confirmed by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman analysis.
