Journal ArticleDOI
Monoamine oxidase. I. Purification, crystallization, and properties of plasma monoamine oxidase.
Hideaki Yamada,Kerry T. Yasunobu +1 more
TL;DR: Crystalline plasma monoamine oxidase was prepared from beef blood by a procedure involving ammonium sulfate precipi- tation, diethylaminoethyl cellulose and hydroxylapatite chroma- tography, and was pink in color and showed an absorption maximum at about 480 mp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monoamine oxidase. II. Copper, one of the prosthetic groups of plasma monoamine oxidase.
Hideaki Yamada,Kerry T. Yasunobu +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that plasma monoamine oxidase is a copper enzyme and that the copper is involved in enzyme activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monoamine oxidase. iv. nature of the second prosthetic group of plasma monoamine oxidase.
Hideaki Yamada,Kerry T. Yasunobu +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Monoamine oxidase VI. Physicochemical properties of plasma monoamine oxidase
TL;DR: Evidence is presented to show that the plasma amine oxidase is a glycoprotein and the amino acid composition of the enzyme is given.
