Journal ArticleDOI
SPR sensor chip for detection of small molecules using molecularly imprinted polymer with embedded gold nanoparticles.
Jun Matsui,Kensuke Akamatsu,Noriaki Hara,Daisuke Miyoshi,Hidemi Nawafune,Katsuyuki Tamaki,Naoki Sugimoto +6 more
TL;DR: The modified sensor chip showed an increasing SPR angle in response to dopamine concentration, which agrees with the expected sensing mechanism and the analyte binding process and the consequent swelling appeared to be reversible, allowing one the repeated use of the presented sensor chip.
Journal ArticleDOI
Composite of Au nanoparticles and molecularly imprinted polymer as a sensing material.
Jun Matsui,Kensuke Akamatsu,Shingo Nishiguchi,Daisuke Miyoshi,Hidemi Nawafune,Katsuyuki Tamaki,Naoki Sugimoto +6 more
TL;DR: The combination of molecular imprinting and the Au nanoparticle-based sensing system was shown to be a general strategy for constructing sensing materials in a tailor-made fashion due to wide applicability of the imprinting technique and the independence of the sensing mechanism from the analyte recognition system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of polypyrrole-palladium nanocomposite-coated latex particles and their use as a catalyst for Suzuki coupling reaction in aqueous media
Syuji Fujii,Soichiro Matsuzawa,Yoshinobu Nakamura,Atsushi Ohtaka,Takuto Teratani,Kensuke Akamatsu,Takaaki Tsuruoka,Hidemi Nawafune +7 more
TL;DR: The nanocomposite particles functioned as an efficient catalyst for Suzuki-type coupling reactions in aqueous media for the formation of carbon-carbon bonds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Site-Selective Direct Silver Metallization on Surface-Modified Polyimide Layers
TL;DR: In this article, a photomask-based fabrication of circuit patterns on polyimide resins is described, which relies on potassium hydroxide-induced chemical modification of the polyimides surface to introduce carboxylic acid groups and incorporation of silver ions through subsequent ion exchange followed by UV-irradiation-induced photochemical reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
One-step synthesis of polypyrrole-coated silver nanocomposite particles and their application as a coloured particulate emulsifier
TL;DR: In this paper, a polypyrrole-coated silver nanocomposite particles were synthesized by one-step aqueous chemical oxidative dispersion polymerization of pyrrole using silver nitrate as an oxidant.
