Network Slicing for URLLC and eMBB With Max-Matching Diversity Channel Allocation

TL;DR: This work considers the problem of radio resource sharing between enhanced mobile broadband and ultra-reliable and low latency communications (URLLC), two heterogeneous 5G services and proposes the use of a max-matching diversity (MMD) algorithm to properly allocate the channels to eMBB users.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultra-Low Latency, Low Energy, and Massiveness in the 6G Era via Efficient CSIT-Limited Scheme

TL;DR: The main limitations of CSI at the transmitter side (CSIT)-based designs toward the 6G era are overviewed, how to design and use efficient CSIT-limited schemes that allow meeting the new and stringent requirements, and some key research directions are highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI

An Adaptive Transmission Scheme for Cognitive Decode-and-Forward Relaying Networks: Half Duplex, Full Duplex, or No Cooperation

TL;DR: An adaptive transmission scheme for cognitive decode-and-forward relaying networks, whereby, before each communication process, one out of three transmission modes is dynamically selected in order to maximize the instantaneous capacity of the system, namely, half-duplex (HD) relaying, full-duple (FD) relays, or direct transmission with no cooperation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Enhanced physical layer security through transmit antenna selection

TL;DR: The results show that the secrecy outage probability is considerably increased when multiple antennas are available at the legitimate transmitter, and due to the use of the TAS technique, the eavesdropper is not able to exploit the additional spatial diversity offered by theitimate transmitter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid Coded Replication in LoRa Networks

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a hybrid coded message replication scheme that interleaves simple repetition and a recently proposed coded replication method to increase the reliability and scalability of LoRaWAN.
