Journal ArticleDOI

Fluoro Group Pivoting Dual Hydrogen Bonding Intramolecular Bridge for 1,2-Bis(2-fluorophenyl)acenaphthenediol Molecule in Solution: NMR Spectrometrical Confirmation of Simultaneous Participation of F–C(sp2) Group to Through-space-couplings with Aromatic and Hydroxy Hydrogen Atoms

TL;DR: Dual hydrogen bonding intramolecular bridge pivoted by fluoro group for 1,2-bis(2-fluorophenyl)-3,8-dimethoxy-acenaphthenediol in solution is ascertained as simultaneous contribution of mutual fluorescence as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure of (1r,2s)-1,2-bis(4-chlorophenyl)-3,8-dimethoxyacenaphthene-1,2-diol: tetrameric string of four conformers connected by classical hydrogen bonds and molecular accumulation alignment by linking of the tetramers with the aid of non-classi

TL;DR: In this article, the structure of (1 R,2 S )-1,2-bis (4-chlorophenyl)-3,8-dimethoxyacenaphthene-1-2-diol, C 26 H 20 O 4 Cl 2, is reported and discussed from the viewpoints of characteristics in spatial organization, i.e., single molecular structures of four conformers, tetrameric aggregates, and higher ordered structures, with clarification of a classical and two non-classical hydrogen bonding interactions as the structure determining interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure of 1,2-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2,3,8-trimethoxyacenaphthene: formation of a five-membered intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen-bonded ring

TL;DR: The structure of the title compound, C27H22F2O4, at 193'K has triclinic (P\overline{1}) symmetry as mentioned in this paper, and the 4-fluoro-phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 87.02'7' and 51.86'8'
