Control of plasma current and position including the influence of vacuum vessel

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a predictive control based on modern control theory, which uses state variables instead of the controlled quantities to overcome the delay of control, and simulated the control by using the dynamic equilibrium code, in which the equilibrium of the system including the vessel and the coils with power supply is determined from the principle of the minimum free energy state.

A Numerical Method for Parallel Particle Motions in Gyrokinetic

TL;DR: In this paper, a semi-Lagrangian scheme was used for the first time to solve the δf gyrokinetic equations in a flux tube geometry, and the accuracy of the parallel motion simulations showed that numerical errors mainly stem from spatial discretization for realistic values of the grid spacing and time step.

Controlling the inverse shell effect of the vacuum vessel during tokamak plasma disruption

TL;DR: In this article, an active shell coil is placed close to the plasma, which utilizes the electromotive force caused during the plasma current reduction phase, and it is possible to attain equilibrium automatically during the plasminar reduction phase.
