Journal ArticleDOI
Incidence of Fusarium Root Rot in Asparagus Seedlings Infected with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungus as Affected by Several Soil Amendments
TL;DR: It is suggested that the addition of coconut charcoal or manure of coffee residue to bed soil is effective for increasing the tolerance to fusarium root rot in AM fungus-infected asparagus plants, though the effect differed with the quantity of the soil amendments.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Anastomosis Groups, AG-T and AG-U, of Binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. Causing Root and Stem Rot of Cut-Flower and Miniature Roses
TL;DR: To differentiate AG-CUT and AG-MIN from known AGs of binucleate Rhizoctonia spp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungus Infection on the Incidence of Fusarium Root Rot in Asparagus Seedlings
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogenetic analyses of the genus Rosa using the matK sequence : molecular evidence for the narrow genetic background of modern roses
TL;DR: Six out of the seven original species that contributed to modern roses were found to belong to only one clade, which confirms the narrow genetic background of modern roses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flower pigment mutations induced by heavy ion beam irradiation in an interspecific hybrid of Torenia
Kiyoshi Miyazaki,Kenichi Suzuki,Kazunari Iwaki,Takaaki Kusumi,Tomoko Abe,Shigeo Yoshida,Hirokazu Fukui +6 more
TL;DR: The results show that heavy ion beams are effective in obtaining artificial mutants and involve the deletion or duplication of a gene related to pigment production.
