A wideband planar monopole antenna set perpendicularly beside a ground plate
Kyoichi Iigusa,Hiroshi Harada +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a planar monopole antenna fed from the side of a perpendicular ground plate was investigated and it was shown that impedance matching is attainable at a fractional bandwidth of 150% by adjusting the relative position of the ground plate to the monopole.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A guard band aggregation scheme for cognitive radio using TV white space
TL;DR: This paper shows the performance evaluation results of the digital TV signals when the guard band is used by the proposed guard band aggregation scheme, and discusses the permissible transmitting power and occupied bandwidth to avoid the performance degradation of thedigital TV signals.

Communication device and communication control method
Kentaro Ishizu,Hiroshi Harada +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an effective frequency-band information list is stored and held such that available frequency bands are classified into frequency band groups, each of which is a series of consecutive frequency bands, and such that the number of frequency bands included in each of the frequency band group is assigned to the respective frequency band number width.

Error Rate Analysis of Band-Limited BPSK With Nakagami/Nakagami ACI Considering Nonlinear Amplifier and Diversity
Mohammad Azizur Rahman,C. S. Sum,Ryuuhei Funada,Tuncer Baykas,Junyi Wang,Shigenobu Sasaki,Hiroshi Harada,Kato Shirou +7 more
TL;DR: An exact expression of the average error rate is developed for a band-limited binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) system in the presence of adjacent channel interference (ACI) considering a Nakagami fading channel.
