Journal ArticleDOI
TiO2 Photocatalysis: A Historical Overview and Future Prospects
TL;DR: In this paper, the progress of the scientific research on TiO2 photocatalysis as well as its industrial applications are reviewed, and future prospects of this field mainly based on the present authors' work.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrogen-Concentration Dependence on Photocatalytic Activity of TiO2-xNx Powders
TL;DR: In this paper, the same absorbed photon number, 1.4 × 1014 quanta·cm-2·s-1, of visible (Vis) or ultraviolet (UV) light was evaluated by the decomposition of gaseous 2-propanol (IPA) powders with low nitrogen concentrations (< 0.02) and showed that the isolated narrow band formed above the valence band is responsible for the Vis light response in the present nitrogen doped TiO2.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrogen-doped titanium dioxide as visible-light-sensitive photocatalyst: designs, developments, and prospects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon-doped Anatase TiO2 Powders as a Visible-light Sensitive Photocatalyst
TL;DR: Carbon-doped TiO2 powders in an anatase phase colored yellow were fabricated by oxidative annealing of TiC Carbons were located at oxygen sites as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient visible light-sensitive photocatalysts: Grafting Cu(II) ions onto TiO2 and WO3 photocatalysts
TL;DR: In this article, the photo-induced interfacial charge transfer from a semiconductor to an adsorbed molecular species and the catalytic multi-electron reduction of oxygen by Cu(I) ions were investigated.
