Fretting Fatigue Analysis Using Fracture Mechanics
TL;DR: In this paper, stress intensity factors are calculated using contact pressure and tangential stress distributions across contact surfaces using the Finite Element Method and the results of the calculated results are compared with experimental results of fretting fatigue tests.

Residual Stress Measurement in Silicon Substrates after Thermal Oxidation
TL;DR: In this article, a 1-μm-diameter Ar laser beam is irradiated into the silicon substrate and the back-scattered light is detected by a photon multiplier, which is confirmed that the peak position of the Raman spectra shifted almost linearly with existing stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fretting fatigue improvement by making a groove or knurling on a contact surface.
