Composition and expansion coefficient of rust based on X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis to characterize eight corrosion products collected from various different environments and proposed the rust expansion coefficients corresponding to the different environments.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study of the elastic moduli of corrosion products using nano-indentation techniques

TL;DR: In this paper, the elastic modulus of four corrosion products collected from various environments was determined using nano-indentation techniques, and it was shown that the corrosion products between a steel bar and concrete include the outer layer, which is the mill scale, and the inner layer generated during the corrosion process and is considered to be the main reason for concrete cracking.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental study of the modulus of steel corrosion in a concrete port

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanical behavior of steel corrosion was analyzed using cyclic low compressive tests and oedometer tests and the results showed that steel corrosion is not a linear elastic material and the influence of Poisson's ratio on the rust modulus is not significant.
