A new optimal design of optical soliton system

TL;DR: In this paper, the bit error rate of a soliton transmission system with periodic amplifiers and filters is calculated and an optimal design example is given, where a filter is placed after each amplifier to reduce the interaction between pulses and the effect of ASE.
