Dynamic globularization kinetics during hot working of a two phase titanium alloy with a colony alpha microstructure

TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamic globularization kinetics of Ti-6.5Al-1.5Zr-3.3Si alloy with a colony alpha microstructure during deformation at temperature range of 920-980 degrees C and strain rate range of 0.01-10 s(-1) was quantitatively characterized and investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of lanthanum addition on microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast pure copper

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of La on microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast pure copper were investigated using optical microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and tensile test.
Journal ArticleDOI

Subtransus deformation mechanisms of TC11 titanium alloy with lamellar structure

TL;DR: In this article, isothermal compression tests are applied to study the deformation mechanisms of TC11 titanium alloy with lamellar structure under deformation temperature range of 890- 995 degrees C and strain rate range of 0.01-10 s(-1).
Journal ArticleDOI

Hardening and softening mechanisms of pearlitic steel wire under torsion

TL;DR: In this paper, a microstructure based analytical flow stress model with considering the influence of ILS on the mean free path of dislocations and the softening caused by shear bands and cementite fragmentations has been established and the predicted flow shear curve meets well with the measured curve in the torsion test.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of δ Phase on Mechanical Properties of GH4169 Alloy at Room Temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of δ phase on the mechanical properties of GH4169 alloy was investigated, and the results showed that 0.2% yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloy increase by 61 MPa and 78 MPa respectively when the fraction of Δ phase increases from 2.20% to 5.21%.
