OXA-830, a Novel Chromosomally Encoded Extended-Spectrum Class D β-Lactamase in Aeromonas simiae.

TL;DR: A novel class D oxacillinase named OXA-830 was identified in a fully sequenced Aeromonas simiae strain isolated from sewage discharged from a farm in southern China, which revealed resistance to penicillins and selected β-lactamase inhibitors but not to cephalosporins and carbapenems.

Characterization of florfenicol resistance genes in the coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CoNS) isolates and genomic features of a multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus lentus strain H29.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the distribution of florfenicol resistance genes in 39 CoNS strains isolated from poultry and livestock animals and seafood and found that the isolates from the animals showed a higher resistance rate (23/28, 82.1%) and much higher inhibitory concentration (MIC) levels than those from seafood.
