Journal ArticleDOI

Hyperthermia in eccentrically located pelvic tumors: excessive heating of the perineal fat and normal tissue temperatures.

TL;DR: Overheating of the perineal fat is a problem in the treatment of eccentrically located tumors of the presacral region when relatively high temperatures in the tumor will be maintained for longer time periods.
Journal Article

Studies on oxygen partial pressure in tumor tissue under radiotherapy and thermoradiotherapy

TL;DR: It is observed in the course of therapy increasing pO2 values (reoxygenation) only partially in the groups of breast carcinomas and cervical lymph node metastases, decreasing in the soft tissue sarcomas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sequence of a yeast DNA fragment containing a chromosomal replicator and a tRNA Glu 3 gene.

TL;DR: The sequence of a 1.9 kb Bam x Hind III fragment from yeast has been determined and several structural features which are thought to be involved in the initiation of DNA replication are analyzed.
Book ChapterDOI

Oxygenation of Locally Advanced Recurrent Rectal Cancer, Soft Tissue Sarcoma and Breast Cancer

TL;DR: Oxygen tension distributions (pO2) were measured in patients with recurrent soft tissue sarcoma, recurrent breast cancer and recurrent rectal cancer using computerized pO2 histography to show marked tumor-to-tumor variability even for tumors of the same histology.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermoradiotherapy in locally advanced deep seated tumours--thermal parameters and treatment results.

TL;DR: From October 1987 to December 1990 a total of 37 patients with deep seated tumours of the pelvis, the abdomen, or lower leg were treated with radiotherapy and regional hyperthermia, resulting in 31 assessable patients and the overall objective response rate was 31.
