Comparative study of 2D and 2.5D responses of long underground tunnels to moving train loads
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative study is conducted for the responses of soil-tunnel systems to moving train loads using the 2D and 2.5D finite/infinite element approaches, considering the effects of train speed, rail roughness and floating slab.
Journal ArticleDOI
Seismic analysis of underground tunnels by the 2.5D finite/infinite element approach
TL;DR: In this article, a procedure for the seismic analysis of underground tunnels using recorded free-field earthquakes based on the 2.5D finite/infinite element approach is presented, where the near and far fields of the half space are modeled by finite and infinite elements, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
On computation of soil vibrations due to moving train loads by 2.5D approach
TL;DR: In this paper, a finite/infinite element approach was used to select the ranges of key parameters, such as the spatial and temporal periods and frequency increment, for the Fourier transform by the 2.5D approach, using the train-induced vibration instead of the fictitious ones introduced by the periodic extension.

2D and 2.5D Responses of Long Underground Tunnels to Moving Train Loads: A Comparison Study
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparative study is conducted for the responses of soil-tunnel systems to moving train loads using the 2D and 2.5D finite/infinite element approaches, considering the effects of train speed, rail roughness and floating slab.
