TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate three types of switchable chiral mirrors, which can reflect one circular polarization without changing its handedness, while absorbing the other, and demonstrate switching from a chiral mirror to either a conventional mirror, a handedness-preserving mirror, or a mirror of opposite handedness.

Bi-layer Metamaterial based Broadband Linear Polarization Converter under Two Coherent Beam Illumination
TL;DR: In this paper, a bi-layer metamaterial structure with mirror symmetry was proposed to act as a linear polarization converter under two-antisymmetric-beam illumination, which achieved high performance, including broad bandwidth, high transmittance and high efficiency.
