Influence of rice husk ash on strength and permeability of ultra-high performance concrete

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of rice husk ash (RHA) on strength and permeability of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) were investigated, and the results showed that the addition of RHA to replace SF decreases the fluidity of fresh UHPC mixture and entraps more air bubbles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modification of Magnesium Oxysulfate Cement by Incorporating Weak Acids

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of weak acids (citric acid, boric acid, and trisodium citrate) with dosages of 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5% of MgO weight on compressive strength, water resistance, and water resistance were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationship among particle characteristic, water film thickness and flowability of fresh paste containing different mineral admixtures

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of particle characteristic on flowability of cement paste containing different mineral admixtures was studied, and the results showed that the packing density of solid particles increases linearly with the lower n value of Rosin-Rammler distribution and the particle shape has little influence on this tendency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of time-dependent rheological properties on distinct-layer casting of self-compacting concrete

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of fly ash, water to binder ratio (w/b) and retarder dosage on distinct-layer casting of self-compacting concrete (SCC) is investigated.
