A numerical study on compact enhanced fin-and-tube heat exchangers with oval and circular tube configurations

TL;DR: In this paper, the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics of finned tube heat exchangers were numerically investigated by examining different oval and circular tubes, and the results revealed that using the oval fin-tube can not only reduce the flow resistance but also improve the heat transfer capacity of the heat exchanger which effectively improved the fin efficiency.

Sulfuric acid deposition characteristics of H-type finned tube bank with 10 rows

TL;DR: Based on the prediction model of acid deposition, a three-dimensional numerical simulation was performed for acid deposition characteristics of H-type finned tube bank with 10 rows, and the effect of six geometric parameters (spanwise tube pitch, longitudinal tube pitch and fin height, fin pitch, fin thickness and slit width) and Reynolds number were examined as discussed by the authors.
