A numerical study on compact enhanced fin-and-tube heat exchangers with oval and circular tube configurations
TL;DR: In this paper, the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics of finned tube heat exchangers were numerically investigated by examining different oval and circular tubes, and the results revealed that using the oval fin-tube can not only reduce the flow resistance but also improve the heat transfer capacity of the heat exchanger which effectively improved the fin efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical analysis of flow resistance and heat transfer in a channel with delta winglets under laminar pulsating flow
TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive transient-state, three-dimensional model for heat transfer and fluid dynamics in a channel with LVG is presented, and the results indicate that both amplitude and period are very important parameter, which profoundly affect the flow and heat transfer performance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental study on heat transfer characteristics in static flash evaporation of aqueous NaCl solution
TL;DR: An experimental study of heat transfer characteristics in static flash evaporation of aqueous NaCl solution was presented in this article, where the influence of crystals on non-equilibrium fraction and volumetric heat transfer coefficient were analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermo-economic comparison of heat–power decoupling technologies for combined heat and power plants when participating in a power-balancing service in an energy hub
TL;DR: In this article, the effectiveness of existing heat-power decoupling (HPD) technologies for CHP plants in consideration of energy consumption characteristics, capital cost, and renewable power accommodation was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamic optimization of coal-fired combined heat and power (CHP) systems integrated with steam ejectors to achieve heat–power decoupling
TL;DR: In this paper, three new combined heat and power (CHP) systems integrated with ejectors are proposed, and multiple system parameters are optimized to achieve heat-power decoupling.
