Spatio-temporal tensor completion for imputing missing internet traffic data

TL;DR: To recover the missing entries in tensors of traffic data, a novel spatio-temporal tensor completion method has been proposed that can significantly reduce the missing traffic data recovery errors and achieve satisfactory completion accuracy comparing with the state-of-the-art completion methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Data reconstruction in internet traffic matrix

TL;DR: This paper analyzes the real-world traffic matrix and proposes Self-Similarity and Temporal Compressive Sensing (SSTCS) algorithm, which can successfully reconstruct the traffic matrix with less than 32% errors when as much as 98% of the data is missing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Accurate traffic matrix completion based on multi-Gaussian models

TL;DR: A study on intrinsic characteristics of network traffic by analyzing real-world traffic trace data reveals that traffic has the features of temporal stability and spatial affinity, and proposes a novel matrix completion method based on multi-Gaussian models to estimate the missing traffic data.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Robust Spatio-temporal Tensor Recovery for Internet Traffic Data

TL;DR: Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed novel robust spatio-temporal tensor recovery (STTR) method can achieve significantly better performance compared with the state-of-the-art recovery methods.
