This paper makes attention blink test on female taekwondo athlete compared with average female college students,elite female taekwondo athletes and ordinary female taekwondo athletes.The result showed that there was significant group difference between the female taekwondo athletes and average female college students in the time span and the degree of attention blink,and there was significant sport rank deference between the elite female taekwondo athletes and ordinary female taekwondo athletes in the time span and the degree of attention blink.

Study on the Characteristics of Attention Blink of Female Taekwondo Athletes

This paper,using the event-related potential recording technique(ERP),studies the features and characteristics of neural mechanisms about the attention during the attention blink processing of female sanda athletes,compares the difference of attention blink and its neural mechanisms between female sanda athletes and the general characteristics of female college students.The result showed that female sanda athletes and ordinary female college student in the rapid serial visual stimuli presented to judge the process,both of them appear attention blink phenomenon,but the two groups showed remarkable differences that attention blink occurring later point in time,duration shorter of female sanda athletes.In the period of the attention blink,female sanda athlete's frontal cortex and the parietal region induced N1,P300 peak amplitude is significantly smaller than normal female college students,N400 peak amplitude is significantly higher than average female college students,and P300 peak latency is significantly smaller than normal female college students.The result of this study supports the theory,the phenomenon of attention blink generation mechanism and is conducive to further explore the psychological characteristics of female sanda athletes.

Research on Attention Blink Character and Neural Mechanism of Female Sanda Athlete

The high-level table tennis players, fixed-target shooters and moving-target shooters of different attention type as well as undergraduate, majoring in physical education were tested, respectively, with the software for attention blink testing, developed by the writer himself. The results showed that the extent of the high-level table tennis players' attention blink was not serious. The lowest point occurred at the 135ms after the target stimulus position with the duration not more than 270ms. The attention-blink extent of the high-level shooters in the two groups was similar to that of the undergraduates. Its lowest point was at the 270ms after the target stimulus position. However, the difference between the shooters and the undergraduates was that the attention blink duration of the former lasted not more than 540ms and that of the latter lasted less than 810ms.

Preliminary Research on Characteristics of Attention Blink in High-level Athletes of Different Attention Type

Data production in experimental sciences depends on localised experimental systems, but the epistemic properties of data transcend the contingencies of the processes that produce them. Philosophers often believe that experimental systems instantiate but do not produce the epistemic properties of data. In this paper, we argue that experimental systems' local functioning entails intrinsic capacities to produce the epistemic properties of data. We develop this idea by applying Derrida's model of arche-writing to study a case of theory-oriented experimental practice. Derrida's model relativises or dissolves the conceptual distinction between the moment of data production and a subsequent moment of data dissemination. It thus has consequences for understanding both data production (despite being intrinsically local, data production a priori generates transferrable and modellable information) and data dissemination (when modelling information, researchers needs to refer this information to the context of its production). We study a case of data production in a non-exploratory experimental system designed to test a pre-existing hypothesis in visual neuroscience. A case of theory-oriented experimental practice should allow us to identify the autonomous functioning of experimental systems in data production more clearly, insofar as it allows us to study the limits of pre-existing theory in the activities of these systems. We suggest that pre-existing concepts, hypotheses and theories condition the relevance but not the production of experimental data.

Arche-writing and data-production in theory-oriented scientific practice: the case of free-viewing as experimental system to test the temporal correlation hypothesis.

Brain computer interfaces (BCI) are applications that allows user to interact with their environment through their brain waves patterns, in this context the detection of eye blinks seems a good way to perform basic interactions. Electroencephalography (EEG) are methods that allows recording of brain waves through invasives or non invasives methods, in the cases of BCI application the lesser the invasiveness the higher the applicability. As this work will focus on pattern recognition within brain waves we developped a machine learning based approach to detect and classify different actions. Additionnaly the differentiation for each eye allows better interactivity for BCI applications.

Real time eye-blinks detection from dry and portable EEG headset using machine learning

Objective In flight, military pilots need to monitor changes in the external environment and monitor the situation of the aircraft at the same time. Attentional blink (AB) reflects attentional blindness in time. Therefore, the present study investigated the AB effect in military pilots and its relationship with flight performance. Methods Thirty male military pilots (44.23 ± 4.07 years old) and 29 control participants (44.07 ± 2.93 years old) underwent testing with the classic rapid serial visual presentation paradigm. The participants' accuracy in detecting a second target stimulus (T2/T1) on the basis of their correctly response to the first target stimulus (T1) was calculated to measure the AB effect. The flight performance of these military pilots was also collected. Results The participants' accuracy in detecting T2/T1 at positions of 180, 270, 360, and 450 ms was significantly lower than that in detecting T1 in both groups. The military pilots' detection accuracy of T2/T1 at the positions of 180 ms (p < 0.001) and 270 ms (p < 0.001) was significantly higher than that of the control participants, and their mean detection accuracy of T2/T1 (AB effect) at the positions of 180, 270, 360, and 450 ms was also significantly higher than that of the control participants (p < 0.001). There was a significant correlation between the AB effect and the lowest flight performance score for the military pilots (r = 0.52, p = 0.004), and the regression coefficient was significant (β = 0.514, p = 0.004, R2 = 0.31). Conclusions Both groups experienced the AB effect, but the military pilots' performance regarding the AB effect was better than that of the control participants. The AB effect can predict the lowest flight performance score in military pilots. These findings may have implications for the grounding and selection of Chinese military pilots.
