A new yield function and a hydrostatic stress-controlled void nucleation model for porous solids with pressure-sensitive matrices

TL;DR: In this article, a macroscopic yield function for porous solids with pressure-sensitive matrices was obtained by generalizing Gurson's yield function with consideration of the hydrostatic yield stress of a spherical thick-walled shell and fitting the finite element results of the yield stresses of a voided cube.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study on the material properties and fatigue life of natural rubber with different carbon blacks

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of carbon black on the fatigue life, the hysteresis, the fracture surface morphology and the critical J-value were investigated for N330, N650 or N990 rubber compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

A macroscopic constitutive law for porous solids with pressure-sensitive matrices and its implications to plastic flow localization

TL;DR: In this paper, a macroscopic yield criterion for porous solids with pressure-sensitive matrices was obtained by generalizing Gurson's yield criterion with consideration of the hydrostatic yield stress for a spherical thick-walled shell and by fitting the finite element results of a voided cube.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Algorithm for Crash Detection Under General Road Scenes Using Crash Probabilities and an Interactive Multiple Model Particle Filter

TL;DR: The proposed algorithm consists of crash probability data generated from Monte Carlo simulations that consider driver behavior and vehicle dynamics, a tracking algorithm that uses an interactive multiple-model particle filter, and a threat assessment algorithm that estimates crash probabilities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fatigue life prediction of solder joints with consideration of frequency, temperature and cracking energy density

TL;DR: In this paper, a mechanical fatigue test was conducted instead of a thermal cycling test, and a resistance change was monitored to detect a failure at real-time, in order to assess the durability of solder joints between semiconductors and a printed circuit board.
