The Impact of Surfactant Imbibition and Adsorption for Improving Oil Recovery in the Wolfcamp and Eagle Ford Reservoirs

TL;DR: In this article, the effectiveness of surfactant additives for improving oil recovery in Wolfcamp and Eagle Ford reservoirs, as well as the extent of surfactor loss by adsorption during the imbibition of a fluid-laden completion fluid are investigated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Enhanced Oil Recovery in Unconventional Liquid Reservoir Using a Combination of CO2 Huff-n-Puff and Surfactant-Assisted Spontaneous Imbibition

TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of combining CO2 huff-n-puff and surfactant imbibition techniques in optimizing oil recovery in unconventional liquid reservoirs (ULR) was assessed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Experimental and Numerical Studies of EOR for the Wolfcamp Formation by Surfactant Enriched Completion Fluids and Multi-Cycle Surfactant Injection

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a dual-porosity compositional model to determine the surfactant transport and adsorption in the Wolfcamp formation, and showed that lateral heterogeneity may limit both hydraulic fracture propagation and uniform distribution of EOR fluids.
